This is the ordering and baking application used by Popty Bach Y Wlad, a family bakery at Cwrt Farm, Pentrecwrt. It is a private tool for our own staff and the shops we supply, along with a small number of public pages listing the ingredients and allergens in our products.
What is stored
- Staff accounts. A name, an email address or username, and a password. Passwords are stored by our sign-in provider in hashed form and are never visible to us. A profile picture is optional.
- Shop accounts. The shop name and the contact details the shop gives us so we can deliver and invoice.
- Order data. Orders, quantities, prices, delivery runs, invoices and the weekly baking figures.
- Screen settings. Your chosen colours, text size and layout, saved against your account so they follow you between screens.
- Staff messages. The shared staff chat keeps only the most recent messages and clears older ones automatically.
Where it is stored
Data is held in a Supabase database hosted in the European Union, and the pages themselves are served by Vercel. Both act as processors on our behalf. Backups can be downloaded by an administrator and are the responsibility of whoever holds them.
What is not done
- No advertising, no advertising trackers and no selling of information to anyone.
- No analytics profiles are built about individual visitors.
- The public product pages can be read without signing in and without an account.
Cookies and local storage
The application stores a sign-in session and your screen preferences in your browser. These are needed for it to work and are not used for tracking.
How long it is kept
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as we need them for running the bakery and meeting our accounting duties. Staff accounts are removed when someone leaves. Chat messages are trimmed to the most recent fifty.
Your rights
If you are a member of staff, a supplier or a shop we deal with, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to hello@poptybachywlad.co.uk and we will deal with it.
